His Excellency Mohammed Obaid Rashid Al Shamsi, General Manager of the Sharjah Social Security Fund, expressed gratitude and praise for the wise directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, in enhancing the well-being of citizens, improving their quality of life, and increasing the budget annually to meet growing needs and complete various projects.
Al Shamsi stated that the 2024 Sharjah Government budget is a proactive and wise step towards achieving sustainable development goals and improving opportunities for a decent living for citizens. The approval of this budget, with expenditures amounting to AED 40.832 billion, an increase of 16% over the 2023 budget, reflects the government’s commitment to directing investments towards key projects that enhance the local economy and support social services.
Al Shamsi affirmed that the Sharjah Social Security Fund is fully committed to its pioneering role in enhancing social care and ensuring security and stability for the community. The fund continues its active roles and partnerships with all entities and institutions to achieve sustainable development goals, highlighting the vital role the fund plays in achieving these goals.
He pointed out that the 2024 budget includes significant allocations to enhance social and health services, improve job opportunities, and provide support to all segments of society. These measures reflect the dedication to serving citizens and enhancing opportunities for a decent life for everyone.
In his statement, Al Shamsi expressed his gratitude to His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah for his wise vision and continuous support to all entities, enabling them to continue their role and work in developing the community. He noted the commitment of the Sharjah Social Security Fund to providing the best services to citizens and working diligently to enhance opportunities for a decent living and improve social care for those insured by the fund in the Emirate of Sharjah.
